THE INSTITUTE FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH endeavors to rethink all areas of knowledge, theory, and practice, promoting the interrelated nature of the academic disciplines. Founded in 1983, this organization challenges the compartmentalization of information and encourages integrative conversation among scholars in the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities and the arts, especially from religious perspectives. IIR is dedicated to fostering the spirit of free inquiry and academic excellence through scholarly research, yearly conferences, and peer-reviewed publications. The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies is the thematic annual of IIR, featuring engaging articles and current book reviews.
